My shower is disgusting. I continue to point out reasons to by a condo, townhome, or other Las Vegas Real Estate. I can feel the greasiness on the bottom of the shower (Nasty!). I always wear flip flops knowing what kinds of feet diseases cover our floor. The faucet is squeaky and leaks from a different side of the shower head. You also hear a vibrating sound when you're in there. It sounds like your phone is vibrating from another room, or a semi truck moving extremely slow. The shower area makes me feel uncomfortable, like somebody's in there watching me, or I'm being infected with a foreign disease. Money management is an enormous part of living in your own house and controlling your life. It's extremely hard not spending money on every minuscule thing that you recognize as cute. I can not go to the bookstore without wanting to buy something useful for your house and housing areas. I would like to buy things for my restroom, but I would rather spend it on useful items than in a room that I am only in for 20 minutes maximum. The place that I am used to saying at has the best accomidations. It is in Green Valley, a smaller area in Las Vegas.
Spending money can be enjoyable, but I have to keep in mind that I'm there for school and not luxuries. You never really understand dorm life, until you've experienced it. Just a few days ago I left a load of laundry in the laundry room. I came back a couple of hours later and my clothes were missing. I had never felt so violated, but I guess that it's something that you experience and learn throughout college; never leave your clothes alone. My dorm room was put into a place of peace and intensive study. I never felt so accomplished than when my dorm room was finished and it felt complete. Everything in my dorm room is used for success in college and softball. My dorm room is a place of chaos. My roommate and I are consistently busy and never have time to relax in our dorm room. The walls are extremely thick, and thank god my coach put me in the quiet/intensive study hall, otherwise I would become remarkably wild student. My dorm room helps me keep my head on straight, and so does the “stuff” in it.
My dorm area is extremely filthy and ridiculous. People are peeing throughout both elevators to spilling drinks throughout the carpet in our hallway. This is not something one would expect in his or her home, but it occurs day in, day out in the dorms. Students at UNLV apparently haven't grown up yet, and feel that the area is a maid service for all of their lackadaisical needs. It isn't that hard to pick up a piece of trash and walk to a trashcan to throw it away. People feel as though they cannot respect and get ahold of themselves while living in an area and that is why it is extremely hard for people to live in nice areas. The majority of rich people have maids to clean up after all of their messes. |
